My role at Bateman is:
Stores.
A typical day for me at Bateman involves:
Receiving goods into stock and distributing throughout the whole site. Liaising with section foremen to maximise storage potential and assisting with picking, packing and processing orders for customers and service engineers.
The most enjoyable aspect of my current role is:
Working within every part of the operation I get a great overall view of the build process, from raw materials to finished article.
I would say life at Bateman is:
Challenging but rewarding. The business is continually growing and adapting to keep up with a demanding market and to maintain customer satisfaction we have to push a little harder every day to ensure we keep everyone happy.
Before I joined Bateman I was:
Managing three UK warehouses for a US based brand and marketing firm.
If I have time to myself I enjoy:
Tinkering with aircooled Volkswagens, mountain biking and laughing with my family.
The best advice I have ever been given is:
Measure twice, cut once!
