Bateman began with a simple need and a bold solution. In 1976, facing tough on-farm conditions, Richard Bateman engineered the Agilator, a self-built machine that allowed him to keep spraying crops on his farm in Bycott. That same farm remains at the heart of R.J. Bateman Engineering today.

Bateman crop sprayers are designed to be practical, functional, and easy to maintain, so most issues can be resolved quickly in the field. However, when you need support we’ll be there. Our back-up is renowned for being second to none.

Our in-house sprayer specialists can often diagnose and resolve problems over the phone, getting you back up and running without delay and without a service visit. If a hands-on fix is needed, our nationwide team of dedicated Service Engineers and Approved Partners cover the whole of the UK and Ireland.
