Precision and flexibility across the field
Designed to adapt to a wide range of crop types and field conditions, the VG Boom is available in widths from 24m to 42m. It can be specified from 24 – 36m on the RB30, RB40 and RB50 models with the ability to spray at 12m if required. The VG boom is standard on the RB60 from 24 – 42m, making it ideal for farms and contractors seeking both scalable performance and operational efficiency.
Positive and negative incline – precision on every slope
The Bateman VG Boom features positive and negative incline off the main centre frame, giving operators unmatched control when spraying on uneven terrain and banks. This design ensures the boom maintains optimal height and geometry, delivering consistent chemical application and droplet size on slopes.
Advanced break-back and boom levelling technology
Every fold point of the VG Boom features hydraulic break-backs, providing robust protection and reduced downtime.
Maximum control and efficiency
The VG Boom supports multi-width spraying options for operational flexibility. For precision application, Capstan Ag PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) can be added as an optional upgrade, delivering individual nozzle control, consistent droplet size, and superior chemical efficiency.
AI Powered Spot Spraying is also an option on the VG boom. The SmartStriker X camera system accurately identifies weeds both in and between the rows, targeting targeting only where treatment is needed.
Optional 25cm nozzle spacing provides further targeted applications by reducing chemical overlap and minimising drift. Accuracy is further increased when used in conjunction with PWM individual-nozzle variable-rate and spot spraying AI cameras.
